Students at Christen Middle School will get a unique glimpse into the world of agriculture, food, and natural resources as part of an exciting visit from the AFNR P-Tech program on November 18, 2024. The event, scheduled for Monday, aims to introduce students to AFNR's innovative specialty school and the many career pathways it offers.

During the visit, middle school students will have the opportunity to meet AFNR’s dedicated teachers and learn about the diverse, hands-on learning experiences the program provides. The AFNR P-Tech pathway focuses on preparing students for future careers in areas like agricultural science, environmental management, food systems, and sustainable resources.

"We're thrilled to connect with the students at Christen Middle School and spark interest in the vital fields of agriculture and natural resources," said a spokesperson from the AFNR program. "This visit offers a preview of the skills and knowledge students can gain by enrolling in our program."

This outreach event is part of AFNR’s mission to engage younger students and highlight the importance of agricultural education. By fostering interest at an early age, AFNR aims to build a new generation of leaders who are passionate about sustainable practices and environmental stewardship.
