The Laredo Independent School District Police Department held a swearing in ceremony for the district’s newest officers. The new officers took their oath which was administered by LISD Police Chief Doreen Hale. The officers also received their badges which were pinned by a family member. The new officers are Ana Acosta, Justin Banda, Daniel Macias, Juan Orozco, and Selena Solis. Congratulations and welcome to the LISD family.

Nixon High School celebrated Alayna Martinez who signed her college/university letter of intent. The Nixon High School graduate signed her NLI to continue her academic and volleyball career at Oakton College in Chicago Illinois. Martinez was the Setter/Defensive Specialist for the Lady Mustangs. Congratulations and Best of Luck Alayna!

What an incredible first week of CTE Summer Camps at Martin High School! Our students explored future career pathways through hands-on experiences in Audio Visual, Culinary Arts, Entrepreneurship, and Cosmetology.

One of the week's highlights featured Culinary Arts and Entrepreneurship students presenting business plans for their pasta creations to a panel of judges, with the delicious Arrabbiata Pasta earning the top honor! 🏆

At LISD, we're proud to provide opportunities that inspire creativity, innovation, teamwork, and career readiness. We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!

Cigarroa High School will host a Youth Football 🏈 Camp for incoming 6th–9th graders beginning Saturday, June 6, at Aranda Field, 2600 Zacatecas.🔥

The camp will be led by Fabian Garcia, current running back at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and will focus on developing football fundamentals in a positive and competitive environment.

A great opportunity for young athletes to learn from experienced players and coaches.
